From the 2026/2027 academic year, a national digital student ID card will be introduced, enabling students to prove their student status securely, simply and in a modern way.

To use it, the eŠtudentska mobile app is available for students to download from the Android and iOS app stores.

Login and security:

Access to the app is granted exclusively via the national SI-PASS system, which ensures verified user identification. Once logged in successfully, the app retrieves data from the eVŠ system, which is stored locally on the device. For added security, access to the app is only possible if the user has activated the device’s security mechanisms, such as a PIN or biometric protection.

All information about the digital student ID card and instructions for use are available on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth: https://www.gov.si/en/registries/projects/digitalna-studentska-izkaznica/
